The End of the Line

This is the end of the journey. My first ever portfolio is titled A Novice’s Journey. I called it that because since my work on The Egg, it has felt like a journey getting here and doing landscape art. Every piece is titled as if you were on an adventure and that was exactly the feel I wanted to give it. The piece shown here is called The End of the Line and this is the official end of the journey. You have reached a misty cliff at the end and the rest is up to you to interpret. For me, I have gone and explored different media but most notably oil paint. The End of the Line was probably the lowest point of my life throughout the whole journey. I will always remember this piece as the one that kept me sane and kept me going through tough times. I myself have some critiques of the piece that I won’t address publicly, but internally I know they represent a rough time of my life and being able to work on them was like an anchor that held me in my safe place.
